Deo Gratias Emana participates in Carton ROUGE
Emana’s Deo Gratias primary school was selected to participate in the district final of the CARTON ROUGE TV show. It is an international educational show that supports schools in the quest for excellence. It is a monthly television show whose presenter and technical team travel from town to town. Numerous government and private schools sign up for it.
The aim is to highlight the values, standards and nobility of each ethnic group. An individual can actually be identified through his/her culture and way of sensing things.
The slogan of this highly popular show across the African continent says : “Carton Rouge l’émission internationale is AT THE HEART OF EDUCATION! An educational show which promotes education and ‘gives the red card ‘- #cartonrouge – to all the evils that plague society”.
During the district semi-final on 24 February 2026, Father Emmanuel and Father Roger Eloundou Betia, vicar of the parish of Our Lady of Meyruba and also sociologist, encouraged the children before the competition. They stressed the aim of the show and the importance of highlighting the cultural wealth of each of the ethic groups that compose the Cameroonian population.
Eighty students of Emana prepared for the contest and distinguished themselves in the different subjects proposed – general knowledge, cooking, dance, karaoke and the election of the miss of the day.
Among the 5 schools participating in the show, 2 schools including ours were selected for the district final.

This final took place on 29 March 2026. Unfortunately, despite the enthusiasm of our brave students, Deo Gratias failed the test of general knowledge called ‘match of the unbeatable masters’, as well as the dance test and the election of the miss. However, they won hands down in the cooking competition, which will allow them to represent their school in this subject in the regional final.
